Abstract
Abstract The reactivity of heteroaromatic nitriles with the enolate anion to give the enamino ketones was discussed on the basis of a reaction index calculated by the chargetransfer model and also using the total electron densities. The results were reasonable in interpreting the reaction mechanism.
