Charge transfer in S2++H collisions at intermediate energy

Abstract

Partial cross-sections for the charge transfer process of S2+ ions in collision with atomic hydrogen at impact energies up to 8 keV have been calculated by means of a semi-classical method using ab initio potential energy curves and couplings. The results are in relatively good agreement with experiment and improve significantly previous Landau-Zener calculations.
