Abstract

Using the Tohoku Charge Spectrometer the presence of the parent ion and its hydrogen-deficient species was elucidated in the isomeric transition of D80mBr, H80mBr and C2H580mBr. Similar phenomena were also observed in the β-decay of CH3131 I and CH3126I. These experimental results were compared with those by X-ray irradiation and charge exchange reactions with positive ions, and were discussed in connection with the explosion model proposed by Carlson et al.
