Abstract

We experimentally investigate charge exchange properties of hydrogen atoms at energies from 0.5 to 20 keV u (= 0.14−0.9v 0 ) passing thin carbon foils of 1.1–10 μg cm 2 thickness. We discuss our results in the context of charge transfer models.
