Abstract

Theoretical models for one-dimensional structures, consisting of traps and recombination centers, are considered. The kinetics of trapping and recombination is studied numerically, especially in the case of thermal relaxation phenomena such as thermoluminescence (TL) and thermally stimulated current (TSC). Some peculiarities of TL and TSC are shown, which result from specific spatial arrangement of traps. The possibility of occurrence of an additional 'displacement' peak on TL and TSC measurement curves is predicted. Possible consequences for experimental studies of TL and TSC are discussed.
