Abstract

ABSTRACT A simplified procedure is described for radioimmunoassay of human growth hormone (HGH) in serum using 125I as a label and dextrancharcoal separation of antibody-bound from unbound HGH. Serum HGH levels were measured fasting and after insulin induced hypoglycaemia in four normal subjects, five patients with hypopituitarism and seven with acromegaly. These values agreed well with similar reports by other investigators.
