Abstract
We study curves of order 2 from the viewpoint of submanifold theory. This paper consists of two parts. One is to give a characterization of all totally geodesic Kahler immersions into an arbitrary Kahler manifold. Theother is to provide a characterization of the parallel embedding of a Cayley projective plane into a real space form.
