Abstract

Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) is the plasma portion of the blood rich in platelets. Platelets produce a large number of clotting factors, cytokines, growth factors, and enzymes, which play key roles in the healing processes of the body. PRP has been utilized as a regenerative substance in orthopaedics and plastic surgery. Injection of autologous PRP has been studied as a potential stimulating agent for follicular growth in women with the poor ovarian response (POR) and primary ovarian insufficiency (POI), and to induce endometrial growth in women with endometrial hypoproliferation.
