Abstract

The thermal stability and viscous flow behavior of amorphous Zr 65Al 8Ni 27− x Cu x (x= 12, 17 and 22) ribbons were examined by using differential scanning calorimetry and thermomechanical analysis. It was observed that the viscosity decreases with increasing temperature until the first steady-state viscous flow temperature is reached and above this temperature the viscosity depends on both the composition and applied stress.
