Abstract
Pure samples of the monoclinic (monazite-like) form of PrCrO 4 have been obtained for the first time and some of its properties are reported. The unit cell parameters, determined from X-ray powder diagrams, and the IR spectrum are discussed in comparison with those of some structurally related compounds.
