Abstract

We investigated the transmission properties of complementary metamaterials with split ring resonator (CSRR) arrays in the terahertz region. The size of CSRR is 110 (90, 70) µm × 110 µm and the gap is 15 µm. The spacing of CSRR is 150 µm. The samples were fabricated by a femtosecond laser micromachining system. The resonant transmissions were observed below the Wood's anomaly resonance and the resonant frequencies only depend on the total length of the split ring resonator. The polarization dependent resonant transmission was also investigated.
