Abstract

Mossbauer spectroscopy has been used to characterize silica supported PtFe bimetallic system with different iron loads. The partial reversibility in room temperature oxidation-reduction and the IS indicate direct PtFe contact on the support. At higher iron loads the Fe dispersity is increased and part of iron cannot be reduced, indicating the presence of non-alloyed iron.
