Abstract

The evolution of the chemical and textural properties of a Ni-based cathode used in molten carbonate fuel cells (MCFC) under simulated working conditions have been characterized by different physical techniques. In parallel, the effect of oxidation and corrosion on the electrical properties of these treated cathodes were studied. The results show that porosity, lithiation and restructuring of the NiO modify the electrical properties of the cathode.
