Abstract

Abstract The most efficient use of a porous particulate stationary phase can only be made when the material in the column is fully characterized. While complete characterization includes both chemical and physical aspects, the macro structure provides the framework for the microscopic chemical interactions. The physical analysis is therefore critically important for a more complete calibration of the chromatographic effects.
