Abstract

Gogo rice is one of the food crops that has the potential to be developed because it is able to produce good productivity on dry land. The problem faced by farmers today is the lack of availability of superior gogo rice seeds. Characterization is one of the efforts to provide genes that are used for the development of sustainable technology in the assembly of new high yielding varieties. The purpose of the study was to determine the types of gogo rice and the relationship between species. This research was conducted from May-August 2021 in Padang Lawas regency using a descriptive method. All data analyzed using NTSYS version 2.02. The survey results show that there are seven types of gogo rice from Padang Lawas regency, namely Silumutpaon, Sialim, Sibobo, Siperak, Sioppaboru, Sibayur and Sibara. The dendrogram coefficient of similarity ranges from 0.17 to 0.50.
