Optical low-coherence reflectometry (OLCR) is a very useful metrology tool to characterize optical fiber components such as fiber Bragg gratings (FBGs). These components find a wide variety of applications in the telecommunication and sensor industry. Hence, their characteristics must be precisely analyzed.
