Abstract
The CdS-Bi 2S 3 powder prepared by controlled precipitation method is used to form the pellets. The CdS-Bi 2S 3 pellets are characterized by SEM, optical absorption, XRD, resistivity measurement and photoelectrochemical techniques. The powder is polycrystalline and optical band gap, ‘Eg’ is 2.0 eV. The electrical resistivity of sintered pellets at room temperature is of the order of 10 3 ohm-cm. Photoelectrochemical characterization showed that the pellets are photoactive.
