Abstract

Barium Strontium Titanate (BaxSr1-xTiO3) (with x=0.5, x=0.7) nano particles are synthesized by conventional solid state reaction method. Phase formation of BST has been studied during sintering process. Morphology, composition and particle structure of synthesized nano particles were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), Energy Dispersive X-ray (EDX) and Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM). Dielectric properties such as dielectric constant, dielectric loss, loss tangent and ac conductivity against applied frequency range (20Hz to 2000 kHz) have been studied. Results show that BaxSr1-xTiO3 is one of the most appropriate, lead free composite materials for ferroelectric and dielectric properties related applications.
