Abstract

ABSTRACT This paper describes the use of semicontinuous thermodynamics1 to model Bahrain field oil and gas. This new method for heavy hydrocarbon fraction characterization is shown to be both simpler and more accurate in matching experimental data than conventional methods. Two separately tuned oil and gas models are then combined in a successful match of experimental data from an oil swelling study.
