Abstract

A 10% Rh/SiO 2 catalyst has been prepared by the incipient wetness method. A temperature programmed desorption starting from a hydrogen saturated surface at 95 K shows four peaks. The shapes of the two peaks above 273 K are consistent with the desorption of hydrogen atoms for which there are repulsive interactions. The three experimental methods give consistent results. However, the exchange experiments do not permit a conclusion about the presence of associatively adsorbed hydrogen.
