Abstract
1. 1. Thyroidal chromatin, isolated from bovine thyroid nuclei, has been characterized and the endogenous RNA polymerase activity was studied. 2. 2. The template activity of chromatin was investigated for exogenous homologous RNA polymerase I and II. 3. 3. The influence of chromosomal proteins on the transcription process was described.
