Abstract

Abstract An effective and a novel synthesis route for accessing 2-substituted-pyridopyrimidines is described, starting from (2-amino-pyridin-3-yl)-methanol through the use of Ni-doped TiO2 nanoparticles as a heterogeneous catalyst. This approach involves the characterization and synthesis of Ni-doped TiO2 nanoparticles, followed by the optimization of the appropriate conditions for the reaction. This strategy affords an easy and efficient method to synthesize 2-substitued pyrido[2,3-d]pyrimidine compounds with an excellent yield (up to 92%).
