Abstract

Urban railways were built mainly underground in urban areas to be incorporated into existing urban structures, and structures with iron orbits were often laid on top of the roads. Therefore, the station where the city railway stops is classified into the line, line, ground, and underground, depending on where the station facilities are located based on the railway line. This study focuses on the line station where the historical facilities are located in the upper part of the track. This is due to the fact that there is a lot of idle space in terms of structurally idle railway and station, such as a lower space of a stairway to enter the inside of a facility or a lower space of a high-cost railway. The purpose of this study is to clarify the characteristics of idle space inside and outside the ship as a basic research for active utilization of the unused space of the urban railway station located at the historical facility in the upper part of the track.
