Abstract

This article discusses the characteristics of ultrasonic wave propagation in eggs. The objects used are three types of eggs: Broiler chicken eggs, and domestic duck eggs. The method of determining egg characteristics uses ultrasonic waves. Ultrasonic waves can propagate on objects, materials and components. HC-SR04 is used as a transmitter and receiver of ultrasonic waves. The ultrasonic waves transmitted to the surface of the egg. The egg spacing from the HC-SR04 module is 5 cm and 10 cm. The testing process carried out on 10 eggs of each type. The distance and propagation time parameters used as information to produce the ultrasonic velocity of the eggs. The testing and calculation process shows that duck eggs have the highest velocity value.
