Abstract

An efficient algorithm for calculating the characteristics of the weak localization effect at oblique incidence of radiation on the boundary of a semi-infinite discrete medium is described. The results of calculations of the coherent enhancement factor and the degree of linear polarization of radiation reflected by a medium of spherical particles at various values of the incidence angle of radiation on the medium are presented. The dependence of the half-width of the interference peak and the degree of linear polarization on the parameters of particles and the incident radiation angle is considered. We analyze the efficiency of an approximation that makes it possible to generalize the algorithm to the case of arbitrary scatterers of the medium.
