Abstract

Social factors and the role of the environment, which influence the aging process in the cohort of elderly people in the European North of Russia, are discussed. The indicators of aging of elderly people due to different living conditions with defined risk factors are analyzed. The predominance of individuals with high rates of aging in the cohort of men who live in rural areas is considered. Alcohol consumption is an aggravating factor that accelerates the significant aging rate of women who are addicted to alcohol.
