Abstract

The optical tracking is well studied in the field of computer vision, and the optical motion tracking is commonly achieved by a serial position tracking in time. In this paper, we look into the optical motion tracking at the perspective of spatio-temporal signal processing. We reveal possible sources that may affect the signal acquisition and estimation. We also introduce a general method for studying the characteristics of the spatio-temporal signals acquired from the optical tracking system, which is the first step that leads to better representation and acquisition of the spatio-temporal signal.
