Abstract

A sample of 67 female optometry students was tested on the Strong-Campbell Interest Inventory (SCII). Their vocational interests were compared with those of women in 57 occupations and classified on vocational and basic interest scales. There were no interest scales in which the female optometry students scored above average, including the optometrist scale.
