Abstract

The characteristics in the vibronic coupling modes of polyene in normal conducting and superconducting states have been studied in the Hückel framework. Much attention has been paid to the selection rules of the extended orbital vibronic constant (EOVC), ƒ n ij . A characteristic parameter, ∂α/ ∂L, has been introduced, by which we set force on a new stage beyond the conventional Hückel framework.
