Abstract

In this report the results of an experimental research of the characteristics of a detonation sounds device. As the sound source was centered, the sound pressure level and frequency were measured in both horizontal and vertical directions. The study area was in a very shallow depth about 8 m. At the horizontal direction, the sound pressure level was 113~130 dB re 1$\mu$Pa, 88 ~119 dB re 1$\mu$ Pa where the distance was 0 m, 30 m from the sound source. The relation expressing the sound propagation loss was approximated to the distance and the sound pressure level. At the vertical direction, the sound pressure level was 127~132 dB re 1$\mu$Pa. It was not confirmed that the propagation loss was significant.
