Abstract
Kronecker sequences constructed by the Kronecker product method from a few sequences, as well as combination sequences can be synchronized considerably faster than a conventional PN sequence of equal length. Recently interesting conjectures on the linear complexity of binary Kronecker sequences were given by Karkkainen. In this paper we give the exact formula of the characteristic polynomial and the linear complexity for binary Kronecker sequences obtained from two sequences called inner sequence and outer sequence. We also show that the Kronecker sequence has a prominent autocorrelation property.
