Abstract

In recent years, the application of feature inexplicability theory in antenna design is becoming more and more common. The characteristic mode theory is only related to the geometric structure and material characteristics of the antenna, and has nothing to do with the feed. Therefore, analyzing the characteristics of the characteristic mode can provide better guidance for the design of the antenna, which also makes the characteristic mode theory of great significance to the design of the antenna. In this paper, the characteristic mode method is used to calculate and simulate frequency selective surface (FSS). Not only the radar cross section of the antenna is calculated, but also the eigenvalue mode, current and resonance characteristics of each mode are analyzed.
