Abstract

A transmission line containing two symmetric non-concentric arc-shaped thin conductors and shielded by a circular grounded pipe is proposed. This problem is investigated efficiently in the bipolar coordinates by the dual integral equations technique based on the discontinuous integrals involving the kernel of the Mehler-Fok integral transform. An analytical approximative formula becoming exact in a special case is obtained for the characteristic impedance. The method of the article can also be helpful for rigorous analysis of striplines and microstrips with multilayered dielectrics.
