Abstract

AbstractA population of the spotted alfalfa aphid (SAA), Therioaphis trifolii (Monell) f. maculata, originally collected near Shepparton, Victoria in April, 1977, was tested for survival on seven of the parent clones of the lucerne cultivar Moapa. A significant level of aphid reproduction was observed only on the clone C‐907.Apart from this response, the Victorian population reacted in a similar fashion to Biotype B, the original unselected SAA population in the U. S. A.
