Abstract

Purpose: Our recent work in the MRC National Survey of Health and Development (NSHD) found that increased height in childhood was associated, albeit modestly, with lower odds of knee OA at age 53 years. We build upon this previous work exploring the relationship between adolescent long bone growth and osteoarthritis predisposition, to examine growth plate dynamics in surgical and non-invasive (loaded) mouse models of osteoarthritis (OA).
