Abstract

The TSL peak D' (450 K) of α-alumina is commonly used for ionising radiation dosimetry. Generally, it is simultaneously accompanied by TSC and TSEE peaks. In this work, peaks D' are characterised by using a previously described model in which the defect associated with peak D' is considered as an electron trap and the TSEE resulting from the thermionic effect. The comparison with experimental data does not invalidate these basic hypotheses.
