Abstract
In the Neirynck Festschrift the author lists under several categories differences between the Greek text printed in the synopses of Aland (= Syn) and Greeven (= HG) and with cross-references to the synopses of Orchard and Boismard-Lamouille (= BL) in order to demonstrate the effect editorial text-critical decisions could have on an investigation into, or on statistics relevant to, the resolution of the Synoptic Problem. This chapter endeavours to make the dry presentation of lists into a practical exposition of how these texts can lead the unsuspecting along differing paths. It uses samples that reveal different aspects of literary interrelationship. The chapter concerns only with those variants that are the cause of differences in the printed editions. Keywords: Greek text; Neirynck Festschrift ; Synoptic Problem
