Chapter 9 - Popular deep learning image classifiers

Abstract

The state-of-the-art image classification techniques have emerged from submissions by academics and industry leaders to the ImageNet large-scale visual recognition challenge (ILSVRC). ILSVRC is an annual contest aimed at developing and improving computer vision techniques on a subset of the ImageNet dataset. This chapter addresses eight well-known image classification deep learning architectures that have been ranked first in the ILSVRC in different years along with their Keras codes.
