Abstract

Tree products other than timber are conventionally described as non-timber or non-wood forest products (NTFP/NWFP). For legal and trade reasons, this chapter proposes the need to distinguish those products derived from common-property resources from those, often of the same species, derived from trees cultivated on private farm land, and suggests the term agroforestry tree products (AFTP).
