Abstract

This chapter introduces control of the doubly-fed induction generator by using rotor current vector, and the control of the three-phase power converter connected to the grid as per grid current vector regulation using model predictive repetitive control with modulator approach under grid voltage distortions. Regarding DFIG rotor current control, the controller operates in the dq frame, and one computes the rotor voltage vector to be inserted in the pulse width modulation algorithm using the predicted behavior by means of its discrete representation of the space state equation considering the repetitive controller behavior. Regarding the converter connected to the grid, the controller operates in the αβ frame, and one computes the converter voltage vector to be inserted in the pulse width modulation algorithm using the predicted values by means of its discrete representation of the space state equation considering the repetitive controller action. The obtained results endorse the controllers' performance.
