Abstract

Extracellular matrix mimic fiber architectures gained much attention for the developments of nanofiber scaffold for tissue repair and regeneration. Self-assembly, phase separation, and electrospinning are the main techniques to fabricate nanofiber matrix for tissue repair. Among them, electrospinning-involved nanofiber fabrication is simple and scalable for the large quantity in tissue repair studies. In this chapter, we are describing the new 3D nanofiber forms for mimicking the different 3D scaffolds for tissue repair studies. The facile 3D expansion of nanofiber matrix from the 2D membrane, injectable nanofiber scaffolds, and short nanofiber composed 3D scaffold with tunable porosities offers a new realm in tissue engineering.
