Abstract
Channel estimation plays a very important role on the performance of wireless communication systems. However, different from the conventional orthogonal frequency division multiplexing, the orthogonality condition of offset quadrature amplitude modulation-based filter bank multicarrier (OQAM/FBMC) systems only holds in the real field, resulting in that the channel estimation in OQAM/FBMC is more complicated. This chapter addresses the channel estimation in OQAM/FBMC systems. The channel estimation model is introduced, and several channel estimation algorithms are presented and their performances are evaluated via numerical simulations.
