Abstract

This chapter discusses the static timing analysis, dynamic timing analysis, and timing diagram analyzers. Timing analyzers has come a long way from the four-function calculator and a sharp pencil. Modern timing analyzers provide detailed timing information for one's design. Static timing analysis is conceptually quite simple, fast and automates the addition of all the gate and track delays. Dynamic timing analysis is an event driven simulator and also supports the concept of correlation. Timing diagram analyzers is the relationship among different signals in the circuit.
