Abstract
This chapter discusses the chemical methods of separation of rare earths, including oxidization of cerium, separation of cerium and other trivalent rare earths, reduction of europium, enriching and separation of europium and other rare earth elements, and precipitation of rare earths by using oxalic acid and ammonium bicarbonate. The methods of impure ion removal are also discussed.
