Abstract

Graphene and its derivatives have great potential for biomedical applications because they possess excellent biocompatibility, physiological solubility, stability, and the ability to load different types of materials. A critical and comprehensive review is presented of emerging graphene-based biomedical applications including drug delivery systems, cell cultivation, tissue engineering, antibacterial engineering, and biosensors.
