Abstract

We begin with a definition and present the chemical potential and the thermodynamic quantities for the constituents of an ideal gas mixture. Then we explore the fugacity, fugacity coefficient, virial coefficient, and thermodynamic properties for the constituents of a real gas mixture. This chapter also introduces Raoult's law, Henry's law, chemical potential, and the thermodynamic properties for the components of ideal liquid or solid mixtures of nonelectrolytes, and for the ideal dilute solution.
