Abstract

Hybrid nanofluids are new kind of fluids that exhibit good heat transfer (HT) performance compared to conventional fluids used for HT that includes water, oil, ethylene glycol, and single nanoparticles (NPs) containing nanofluids. Hybrid nanofluids are efficiently working in terms of cooling where temperature range is high and includes broad range of thermal applications. Hybrid nanofluids are generally prepared by dispersing two various kinds of NPs in base fluids and it emerges as a new nanotechnology. In this chapter, the applications of hybrid nanofluids in main areas of research that includes solar energy, solar energy, refrigeration as well as heating, ventilation, and air conditioning applications, heat exchanger, heat pipes, coolant in machining and manufacturing, electronic cooling, automotive industry, generator cooling, transformer cooling, nuclear system cooling, biomedical, space, ships, and defense are discussed in detail.
