Abstract

The last (as of summer 2018) radiation accident of the highest level of danger (level 7) was at Fukushima NPP in Japan on March 11, 2011. Release of radioactive substances and their migration are described. The most part of contamination was transported to the Pacific Ocean. However, some emissions were turned to the Northwest settling on the land. The Fukushima Prefecture issued an evacuation order for people within 2km of the plant. Then the evacuation area was subsequently enlarged up to 40km. The information on the dose indications of the people living on contaminated territories is presented. Radiation situation on the Russian Far East and on the Pacific Coast of the United States is described.
