Abstract

In this chapter, we introduce smart sensor data stream delivery technologies. Recently, sensor data stream delivery system that collects sensor data periodically and delivers successively has been attracting great attention. As for this sensor data stream delivery, receivers are possible to require the same sensor data stream with different delivery cycles. Currently, we have proposed P2P-based or cloud-based methods to distribute communication loads by relay nodes in the case of delivering the sensor data streams. In the P2P-based methods, computers (nodes) receive sensor data and resend them to other nodes which relate to those delivery cycles. In the cloud-based methods, the relay nodes construct a P2P overlay network and are assigned sensor data based on distributed hashing. According to the experimental results in simulations, our proposed method can widely distribute the loads among the nodes in the network. In this chapter, we describe our proposing methods and those experimental results.
