Abstract

Abstract The most common inflammatory rheumatic disorders are rheumatoid arthritis, spondyloarthritis, and psoriatic arthritis. These disease share common features of joint or spine inflammation potentially followed by structural changes leading to profound modifications in health-related quality of life. The monitoring of patients with these diseases includes assessment of the activity of the disease and of its consequences. The main aspects of monitoring include careful physical examination, assessment of the patient perspective using patient-reported outcomes, and lab tests and imaging. In this chapter, we will review the main aspects of monitoring.
